Cultivate a Life of Vitality, Pleasure, Passion and Purpose




I’m Karen and Wellegance is born out of my fierce desire to live everyday with vitality, authenticity, style and soul.  This desire has led me on quite a journey.

But first, there’s something you should know about me: I’m an absolute mess of contradictions! I’m a yoga fanatic and a francophile who can rock an Hermes scarf with the best of them. Stacked on my nightstand are chick-lit novels, travel guides, self-help books and Shakespeare. I adore Broadway musicals and I participate in Native American Sweat Lodge rituals. I love lipstick and I meditate daily (sometimes while wearing my lipstick!).  Over the years, I’ve taken classes in knitting,  Feng Shui and belly dancing. Like I said…a MESS of contradictions!

For many years, I felt flawed and flaky because I lacked the single-focus and contentment that I thought I should have. Like many of you, I’m a busy, working mom and, believe me, I understand how hectic life can be. We’re short on time and long on “to-do’s.” And as we hustle to satisfy everyone else’s needs, we often neglect our own.

I was determined to do it all – to explore my curiosities and passions, while juggling my many roles and responsibilities. But rather than feeling fulfilled, this left me feeling totally overworked and overwhelmed!

The sheer exhaustion from this “race to the finish line” lifestyle led me to make fewer and fewer healthy choices and before too long, I found myself frustrated, exhausted, resentful and disconnected. I had officially lost my “mojo”. 

img_9348And that’s what inspired my search for a more sane and satisfying way. It took years of struggle before I finally came to realize that I didn’t need to be fixed; what I needed was more balance and help in cultivating the vibrant, healthy, passionate and purposeful life that I craved.

Thankfully, I’ve had many wise teachers and mentors along the way who taught me the mindset shifts that changed everything. I adopted a new “healthstyle” (a set of healthy habits that are actually enjoyable!) and I began to understand what true wellness and elegance are all about. When I became certified as a Wellness Coach and, later, a yoga instructor, my knowledge and understanding deepened and I discovered even more tools, which I’m excited to share.

Now, let me be clear…I don’t handle things perfectly all the time. Some days I knock it out of the park and some days…let’’s just say one wouldn’t describe me as “well” or “elegant”!?  What I am, however,  is deeply committed to staying the path.

I have a toolbox of strategies and techniques that help bring me back to sanity when life feels chaotic.  And these strategies and practices have absolutely, without question, helped me cultivate more ease, joy, peace and pleasure in my life.

I believe that each and every one of us can live with Wellegance™ and I’m thrilled to introduce you to this way of life. And the best part is, it’s not hard.  In fact, it’s actually pretty simple.

Nothing excites me more than inspiring others by turning them on to a “life hack,” meditation technique, recipe, style tip or a ‘healthy living’ idea. That’s what Wellegance is all about.
