“What on Earth could be more luxurious than a sofa, a book and a cup of coffee?” – Anthony Trollope
If you appreciate quality coffee, then this Nespresso VertuoLine coffee machine is a must-have piece of kitchen equipment. It uses centrifusion technology and coffee/espresso capsules to brew individual cups of coffee and espresso that are true indulgences!
My husband travels quite a lot on business and came home raving about this machine, which can be found at most high-end hotels throughout Europe. After doing a bit of research, I gifted him with one at the holidays and, honestly, I’ve been enjoying it as much as he does.
Both the coffee and the espresso are smooth and strong with a light layer of foam on top (the foam forms naturally, as a result of the centrifusion technology, which spins the water at a rapid rate as the coffee brews; no milk is required). The coffee brews quickly and comes out piping hot, unlike some other drip coffee machines and the machine comes with an Aerroccino Plus milk frother for cappuccinos and lattes.
Considering the quality of the coffee produced, the machine is not outrageously expensive, but you must purchase the pods directly from Nespresso (they have several packages and auto-ship options to make it more convenient). Still, I’m confident that it’s more cost effective to invest the machine and pods than to purchase a cup of Starbucks each day. And the taste is, in my opinion, far superior to Starbucks.
If you’d like to investigate further, here’s the machine I bought.
Now…to grab a book and head to the sofa…
